Collision Avoidance System Service in DFW
Collision Avoidance Systems are designed to reduce crash risk by using cameras, radar, and vehicle logic to detect hazards and assist the driver (vehicle-dependent). When these systems show warnings, disable features, or behave inconsistently—especially after repairs—the fix is rarely a simple reset. It requires confirmed diagnostics and, when required, ADAS calibration/verification to restore reliable system performance.
What Is a Collision Avoidance System?
“Collision Avoidance System” is an umbrella term manufacturers use to describe multiple ADAS features that help detect risk and support driver response (vehicle-dependent). These may include functions such as:
Forward collision warning and alerting behavior
Automatic emergency braking interaction (vehicle-dependent)
Lane-related warnings/assist functions (vehicle-dependent)
Blind spot alerts and cross-traffic style warnings (vehicle-dependent)
Sensor-based distance or object detection behaviors (vehicle-dependent)
Because these systems share sensors and communicate across multiple vehicle modules, a single repair event (bumper removal, windshield replacement, bracket movement, alignment changes, collision repairs) can affect multiple features simultaneously.

Signs Your Collision Avoidance System Needs Service
“Collision Avoidance Unavailable” / “Front Assist Unavailable” style messages (vehicle-dependent)
ADAS warning lights or driver-assist features are disabled
False alerts (warnings when nothing is present)
No alerts when risk is clearly present (vehicle-dependent)
Problems started after front-end repairs, windshield replacement, bumper work, or sensor replacement
Multiple ADAS features fail simultaneously (camera + radar + parking warnings) (vehicle-dependent)
If you are not sure which driver-assist feature is failing, start with Vehicle Diagnostic to confirm the correct path before calibration steps.
When Collision Avoidance Diagnostics / Calibration Support Is Commonly Needed
Service is commonly required after:
Collision repairs (even when damage appears minor)
Windshield replacement on camera-equipped vehicles (vehicle-dependent)
Front bumper/grille removal or replacement (radar-equipped vehicles)
Sensor bracket replacement, re-aiming, or module replacement (vehicle-dependent)
Wheel alignment, suspension work, or ride-height changes (vehicle-dependent)
Persistent warnings that return after the codes are cleared

On time, reliable and incredible service. Very honest about our repair and showed us the code log. Highly recommend. Already shared his information with a family member who didn’t even know this kind of service exists. Now I can feel confident that our family’s vehicle is safe to drive again.
Fast and efficient service with a comprehensive scan of your car's radar system.
This is a great company to deal with ,my cruise control stopped working & they came out & gave a free diagnosis which gave a clear picture of what was exactly wrong ,highly recommended ,very professional & honest, thank you again !!!
I initially went to the dealership when the airbag light in my Nissan Rogue had come on. Upon diagnostic review, the dealership advised that it would cost around $4500 to correct the issues that they were seeing with the system. I decided to get a 2nd opinion and I called DFW Safety Restore. Jose was able to work me in next day. He was prompt and right on time for my appointment in coming out to my house to run a diagnostic on my car. The first scan showed a host of issues, the same issues the dealership reported and more. So many, that Jose suggested resetting the codes and rerunning the diagnostic to get a true picture of what was going on. He said if there are true issues with the system the diagnostic codes would reappear. The reset worked and the system went back to normal. I am so thankful for Jose, and DFW Safety Restore for saving me from unnecessary and very expensive work on my car. If you have airbag system issues with your vehicle, I highly, HIGHLY, recommend you give DFW Safety Restore a call first.
My brother had a minor accident but it hit exactly where the air bag sensor was located. Due to the age and miles of the car, it was a total loss. We had the option of keeping the car at a lower value (salvage title) or full loss value. We were not going to be close in the cost of replacing the car if we took the full value so we tried to get several quotes to fix. Most places wouldn’t give a quote or even touch the car. I only found 2 places that seemed solid to properly fix the cars primary issue (air bags and locked seat belts). Of those 2, DFW safety restore seemed more professional and communicated everything very clearly! He also helped me find a body shop to fix the car without spending thousands beyond the car’s value. The work, the professionalism, and the communication all 5 stars!! Super happy we kept the car and used DFW safety restore!!
Great service ! Came out same day and completed job accurately and quickly ! Will definitely be using them again .
After struggling to find the right parts on eBay for my daughter’s wrecked car, I searched for a local company that could restore and reprogram airbag modules and seatbelts. That’s when I found DFW Safety Restore, and I couldn’t be more grateful for their service. I reached out via their text chat and connected with Jose, who was an absolute pleasure to work with. Jose was incredibly polite, professional, and patient, taking the time to understand my needs and concerns. He followed up with a phone call to discuss everything in detail, offering clear, understandable solutions to all the issues with my daughter’s car. His expertise and willingness to explain things in a way I could grasp made the process stress-free. Jose’s generosity with his time and his exceptional customer service stood out as the best I’ve experienced in decades. He is the pinnacle of a professional technician, and I wish there were more people like him in the world. DFW Safety Restore, thanks to Jose, exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend their services to anyone needing car safety system repairs.
I worked with Jose and he was great! He was on time (even early), very efficient, took time to explain everything to me and happily answered all of my questions. The next business day he sent me a quote for everything we discussed and the diagnostic report we looked at together. I highly recommend them!
The technician was able to clear the airbag light on our car. He came to our house and saved me the time and effort of having to remove and mail in the airbag control module for repair. He was able to do it in our driveway through the computer connection. Highly recommended and courteous service.
DFW Safety Restore has been an absolute game-changer for us. They handle all our ADAS calibrations, and we couldn't be happier with their service. Always on time, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. It's hard to find a team that gets it right every single time—but they do. Their mobile service makes everything even easier. If you're looking for a reliable partner for your calibration needs, these are the people to call. Highly recommend!
