Terms and Conditions for Module Programming Services

Effective Date: 03/29/2026 IMPORTANT: Module programming depends on correct repairs, correct parts, correct installation, proper vehicle configuration, stable battery voltage, successful module/network communication, and—when applicable—legal proof of ownership/authorization. By booking, paying for, or receiving module programming services from LockNCal, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms below. This page works together with LockNCal’s Return & Refund Policy, Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Acknowledgments, Disclaimers & Legal Consents. If any conflict arises, these service-specific disclosure controls apply to module programming services.

1) Scope of Service – Execution Only (Not Diagnosis, Not Guaranteed Outcome)

I understand I am paying for the attempted programming/configuration of a module, not for diagnosis, troubleshooting, or guaranteed results.

• Module programming may or may not resolve my vehicle’s symptoms.
• Programming success depends on vehicle condition, prior repairs, correct parts, correct installation, battery voltage, network communication, OEM procedure requirements, and other vehicle factors outside LockNCal’s control.
• LockNCal does not guarantee that programming will fix the vehicle, eliminate warning lights, restore functionality, or resolve every issue.

2) Preconditions – What Must Be True Before Programming Can Succeed

I confirm that all required repairs related to the system being programmed have already been completed in accordance with OEM/manufacturer requirements.

• Correct part required: I confirm the installed module has the correct part number for the vehicle’s year, make, model, trim, and configuration.
• Correct installation required: I confirm the module is properly installed, with all required connectors, grounds, fuses, sensors, and related components intact.
• Vehicle readiness required: I understand programming may fail due to low voltage, poor battery condition, blown fuses, wiring faults, CAN/LIN/FlexRay/network faults, aftermarket electronics, collision damage, corrosion, water intrusion, missing components, locked modules, software limitations, or unresolved system faults.

3) Proof of Ownership / Authorization (Required for Certain Programming Services)

I understand that some programming requests involve the vehicle’s immobilizer (IMMO), anti-theft system, security access, or safety systems. For legal compliance and customer protection, LockNCal may require proof of ownership/authorization before performing module programming.

• For individual customers: I may be required to present a current government-issued photo ID, along with the title, registration, proof of insurance, or other reasonable proof of authority over the vehicle.
• For business/fleet/auction/dealership/shop requests: LockNCal may require a current photo ID for the authorized representative, along with a work order, repair order, bill of sale, registration, title, insurance, or other documentation demonstrating authority over the vehicle.
• If documents are not provided: If I cannot provide acceptable proof of ownership/authorization when required, LockNCal may refuse service, and all payments remain final and non-refundable.

4) No Obligation to Diagnose or Provide Repair Recommendations

I understand LockNCal is not obligated to diagnose the vehicle, identify the exact root cause of the failure, perform pinpoint electrical testing, or provide repair recommendations if programming fails or cannot be completed. If I want diagnostic services, I understand I must book a separate Vehicle Diagnostic appointment and pay the applicable fee.

5) Variable Complexity and Additional Charges

I understand module programming complexity varies by vehicle and by system.

• Some vehicles require additional programming steps, security access, relearns, initialization, configuration procedures, or OEM platform access beyond what was expected at the time of booking.
• Some vehicles may require proof of ownership verification, key synchronization, additional module setup, or additional procedures before programming can continue.
• If additional procedures, time, or charges are required, LockNCal will provide the cost for approval before continuing when reasonably possible.
• If I decline the required additional charges, service may stop, and all prior payments remain final and non-refundable.

6) Time Policy (2 Hours Included + Overage Approval)

The booked programming service includes up to 2 hours of on-site programming time unless otherwise stated in writing.

• Hard stop after included time: If service exceeds 2 hours for any reason, LockNCal may pause work and request approval to continue.
• Overage rate: Additional time is billed at $175 per hour, billed in 30-minute increments ($87.50 per half hour).
• Immediate payment: Approved overage charges must be paid immediately before work continues.
• If I decline additional time or do not respond within a reasonable time, LockNCal may stop the service, and the booking remains final and non-refundable.

7) Vehicle Access, Site Conditions, and Power Requirements

• Vehicle access: I agree the vehicle will be present at the scheduled location/time, accessible, and in a reasonably safe environment for the technician to work.
• Battery/voltage: I understand stable voltage is critical for programming. The vehicle must have a good battery and a stable electrical supply.
• Power support: LockNCal may require the vehicle to be connected to a power maintainer/support device. If the voltage is unstable, programming may be refused or stopped to prevent module damage or inaccurate results.

8) Return Visit / Re-Appointment Policy

If programming cannot be completed and I want LockNCal to return after repairs, parts correction, battery/voltage correction, document verification, or other conditions are resolved, I understand I must book a new appointment and pay a new service fee. I understand LockNCal does not provide free return visits for programming that fails due to incorrect parts, incomplete repairs, missing prerequisites, poor vehicle condition, or other conditions outside LockNCal’s control.

9) No Cancellations / No Refunds / Final Sale Policy

• All bookings are final: Once module programming is booked and paid for, all sales are final.
• No refunds due to outcome: No refund will be issued if programming fails or cannot be completed due to incomplete repairs, wrong or defective parts, incorrect installation, low voltage/battery issues, wiring/network faults, missing components, aftermarket modifications, prior collision damage, corrosion, water intrusion, software restrictions, locked modules, proof-of-ownership issues, or any other factor outside LockNCal’s control.
• No refunds due to service stoppage: If service is stopped because required additional charges are declined, time overage is declined, or prerequisites are not met, the booking remains final and non-refundable.
• Chargeback acknowledgement: I agree not to dispute or charge back the payment because LockNCal reserves capacity, performs professional labor, and attempts service in good faith.

10) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LockNCal is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to towing costs, rental vehicle costs, storage fees, missed work, lost wages, downtime, inconvenience, or related losses. If LockNCal is found liable for any reason, LockNCal’s total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific module programming service at issue.

11) Customer Authorization

• I confirm that I am the vehicle owner or an authorized agent for this vehicle and that the information I provide is accurate.
• I authorize LockNCal to connect diagnostic/programming equipment to the vehicle, attempt programming, and take reasonable steps necessary to perform the booked service.
• I authorize LockNCal to communicate with me by text message and phone regarding status, approvals, overage charges, and service updates.

By booking, paying for, or receiving module programming service from LockNCal, I electronically sign and agree to these Terms and Conditions for Module Programming Services.
