Terms and Conditions for Vehicle ADAS Calibration Services
Effective Date: 03/29/2026
IMPORTANT: ADAS calibration is a precision safety procedure that depends on proper OEM repairs, correct component installation and alignment, stable vehicle communication, and a suitable work environment. Many ADAS components also require programming/coding before calibration is possible. By booking, paying for, or receiving ADAS calibration services from LockNCal, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms below.
This page works together with LockNCal’s Return & Refund Policy, Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Acknowledgments, Disclaimers & Legal Consents. If any conflict arises, these ADAS-specific disclosure controls apply to ADAS calibration services.
1) ADAS Calibration Pricing Structure (Per Calibration / Per System)
I understand ADAS calibration pricing is generally charged per calibration, per system, not per vehicle.
- A single vehicle may require one or multiple calibrations, depending on the systems it is equipped with and the repairs performed.
- If a vehicle requires calibration of more than one ADAS component or system, each calibration is billed separately.
- If a vehicle requires both a static calibration and a dynamic calibration, I understand these are separate services and may carry separate charges.
- I understand the initial booking/payment does not guarantee that only one calibration will be required.
2) Preconditions – OEM Repairs Must Be Completed First
I confirm that all necessary repairs related to the ADAS system(s) have been completed in accordance with OEM manufacturer requirements before LockNCal arrives to calibrate.
- If any ADAS sensor, camera, radar, bracket, mounting point, bumper, grille, windshield, trim piece, or related component is damaged, loose, incorrectly installed, or misaligned, I understand that calibration may fail or be impossible until those issues are corrected.
- LockNCal does not assume responsibility for verifying the quality of collision repair, body repair, or OEM repair completeness beyond what is necessary to attempt the booked calibration service.
3) Programming/Coding Prerequisite for Replaced Components
I understand that if a camera, radar, sensor, control module, or other ADAS-related component has been replaced, that component may require programming, coding, initialization, or configuration to the vehicle before calibration can be completed.
- No programming = no calibration: If the vehicle requires programming/coding and that programming has not been completed, I understand the ADAS calibration cannot be completed.
- Separate service / separate charge: Programming/coding is a different service with a different fee. It is not included in the ADAS calibration price unless expressly stated in writing.
- Recommendation: If I replace any sensor, camera, radar, or module—or if I am not sure whether programming is required—I understand LockNCal strongly recommends booking a Vehicle Diagnostic and/or Module Programming service first.
4) Static vs. Dynamic Calibration Services
I understand some vehicles require static calibration, some require dynamic calibration, and some require both.
- Static calibration and dynamic calibration are separate procedures.
- If the vehicle/OEM procedure requires both, I understand both must be performed to complete the calibration process properly.
- I understand each required calibration type may be billed separately.
At this time, LockNCal only offers the following static ADAS calibration services unless otherwise stated by LockNCal in writing:
- Front Radar Calibration
- Windshield Camera Calibration
- Rear Bumper Corner Sensor Calibration
LockNCal may also perform dynamic calibrations where permitted and where vehicle readiness, road legality, and safe conditions allow.
5) If I Don’t Know What the Vehicle Needs
If I am not 100% sure what the vehicle needs, I understand I should book a Vehicle Diagnostic first. I understand some vehicles that appear to need “just a calibration” may actually require:
- Programming first
- Replacement of one or more damaged components first
- More than one calibration
- Both static and dynamic calibration
I understand booking the wrong service does not create a right to a refund.
6) Used / Aftermarket / Non-OEM Components
I understand ADAS systems are highly sensitive to component type, compatibility, and OEM procedure requirements.
- OEM components are strongly recommended.
- If a used, aftermarket, rebuilt, or non-OEM sensor/camera/module has been installed, I understand it may be incompatible, locked, unprogrammable, or unable to support successful calibration.
- LockNCal does not guarantee successful programming or calibration when non-OEM, used, or aftermarket ADAS components are installed.
7) Disassembly / Reassembly Is Not Included
LockNCal and its technicians are not responsible for removing or reinstalling bumpers, grilles, trim panels, undercovers, brackets, interior panels, or other parts required to access ADAS components, unless expressly quoted and booked as a separate service.
- The customer, body shop, dealership, or other hiring party must provide a qualified person on-site to handle any required removal and installation of parts.
- If required parts are not removed, not reinstalled, or not properly aligned, the calibration may be delayed, stopped, cancelled, or fail.
8) Sensor / Bracket / Mount Alignment Is Not Included
I understand that calibration requires correct sensor/module alignment and proper mounting geometry before calibration begins.
- If a sensor, bracket, mount, or module is bent, misaligned, damaged, loose, or incorrectly installed, I understand LockNCal may be unable to complete calibration.
- LockNCal is not responsible for body repair, structural repair, bracket repair, or mount alignment unless expressly quoted and booked separately.
9) Vehicle Readiness Requirements
- Battery/voltage: The vehicle must have a good, stable battery. This is non-negotiable.
- Power access: The customer must provide access to a standard power outlet when required. LockNCal may bring its own power maintainer/support equipment, but the customer must provide the power source.
- Dynamic calibration legality: If the calibration requires driving, the vehicle must have a valid, current license plate and be in road-legal condition to perform the procedure.
- Communication/network readiness: I understand calibration may fail due to low voltage, weak battery, blown fuses, communication/network faults, module faults, aftermarket electronics, collision damage, corrosion, water intrusion, missing components, or unresolved vehicle issues outside LockNCal’s control.
10) Site / Work Area Requirements
LockNCal prefers to perform calibrations indoors due to weather and wind, but indoor space is not always available. Outdoor calibration may be attempted when conditions allow.
I understand the work area must be:
- Flat and level
- Clean and reasonably free of debris/obstructions
- Spacious, generally meaning approximately 2–3 parking spaces of clearance around the vehicle when required for setup
- Safe and accessible for LockNCal’s equipment and technicians
If the site does not meet these requirements, LockNCal may stop, cancel, or reschedule the service, and all payments remain final and non-refundable.
11) Weather, Delays, and LockNCal Rescheduling Rights
If calibration must be performed outdoors and weather conditions (including rain, high wind, lightning, extreme heat, extreme cold, or other unsafe conditions) prevent proper service, LockNCal may reschedule the appointment.
- No refund: A weather-related or operational reschedule is only a reschedule, not a refund.
- No additional charge for weather-only reschedule: If LockNCal cannot proceed solely because weather prevents the calibration, LockNCal may reschedule at no additional charge.
- General rescheduling rights: LockNCal also reserves the right to reschedule for safety, equipment, staffing, operational, travel, or site-readiness reasons as stated in LockNCal’s general policies.
12) Scope of Service – Execution Only (Not Diagnosis, Not Guaranteed Outcome)
I understand I am paying for the attempted execution of the booked ADAS calibration procedure, not for diagnosis, troubleshooting, or guaranteed results.
- LockNCal does not guarantee that a calibration can be completed successfully.
- LockNCal does not guarantee that calibration will clear all warning lights, faults, or symptoms.
- LockNCal is not obligated to diagnose the root cause of failure or provide repair recommendations unless a separate diagnostic service is booked.
13) Additional Charges
I understand additional charges may apply if the vehicle requires:
- More than one calibration
- Both static and dynamic calibration
- Programming/coding first
- Additional procedures, additional labor, or a return visit
- Service delays caused by missing prerequisites, poor site conditions, weak battery, no power access, missing plate, or other conditions not disclosed at booking
Where reasonably possible, LockNCal will notify me of additional charges before proceeding. If I decline required additional work or charges, service may stop, and all prior payments remain final and non-refundable.
14) Re-Appointment / Return Visit Policy
If LockNCal cannot complete the calibration because required repairs, programming, parts removal, site readiness, or other prerequisites are missing, and I want LockNCal to return later, I understand I must book a new appointment and pay a new service fee.
15) No Cancellations / No Refunds / Final Sale Policy
- All bookings are final: Once an ADAS calibration service is booked and paid for, the sale is final.
- No refunds due to outcome or prerequisites: No refund will be issued if calibration fails or cannot be completed due to incomplete repairs, improper installation, misalignment, missing programming/coding, incompatible used/aftermarket parts, poor site conditions, battery/voltage issues, communication/network faults, missing/invalid plate for dynamic calibration, lack of power access, missing assistance for part removal, or any other factor outside LockNCal’s control.
- Booking the wrong service: If I book an ADAS calibration service that my vehicle does not need, or one LockNCal does not currently offer for that situation, the booking remains final and non-refundable.
- Chargeback acknowledgement: I agree not to dispute or charge back the payment because LockNCal reserves capacity, performs professional labor, and attempts service in good faith.
16) Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LockNCal is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to towing costs, rental vehicle costs, storage fees, missed work, lost wages, downtime, inconvenience, or related losses.
If LockNCal is found liable for any reason, LockNCal’s total liability is limited to the amount paid for the booked ADAS calibration service at issue.
17) Customer Authorization
- I confirm that I am the vehicle owner or an authorized agent for this vehicle and that the information I provide is accurate.
- I authorize LockNCal to set up calibration equipment, connect diagnostic tools, connect power-support equipment, perform calibration attempts, and take reasonable steps necessary to execute the booked ADAS service.
- I authorize LockNCal to communicate with me by text message and phone regarding status, approvals, additional charges, delays, and rescheduling.
By booking, paying for, or receiving ADAS calibration service from LockNCal, I electronically sign and agree to these Terms and Conditions for Vehicle ADAS Calibration Services.

I initially went to the dealership when the airbag light in my Nissan Rogue had come on. Upon diagnostic review, the dealership advised that it would cost around $4500 to correct the issues that they were seeing with the system. I decided to get a 2nd opinion and I called DFW Safety Restore. Jose was able to work me in next day. He was prompt and right on time for my appointment in coming out to my house to run a diagnostic on my car. The first scan showed a host of issues, the same issues the dealership reported and more. So many, that Jose suggested resetting the codes and rerunning the diagnostic to get a true picture of what was going on. He said if there are true issues with the system the diagnostic codes would reappear. The reset worked and the system went back to normal. My brother had a minor accident but it hit exactly where the air bag sensor was located. Due to the age and miles of the car, it was a total loss. We had the option of keeping the car at a lower value (salvage title) or full loss value. We were not going to be close in the cost of replacing the car if we took the full value so we tried to get several quotes to fix. Most places wouldn’t give a quote or even touch the car.
