Terms and Conditions for Automotive Locksmith Services

IMPORTANT: Automotive locksmith services involve access to a vehicle and its security/immobilizer system. For customer protection, fraud prevention, and legal compliance, LockNCal may require identity and ownership/authorization verification before performing locksmith services. By booking, paying for, or receiving automotive locksmith services from LockNCal, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms below.

This page works together with LockNCal’s Return & Refund Policy, Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Acknowledgments, Disclaimers & Legal Consents. If any conflict arises, these service-specific disclosure controls apply to Automotive Locksmith Services.

1) Proof of Ownership / Authorization Required Before Service

I understand LockNCal may require proof that I am authorized to request service for the vehicle before service is performed.

• For individual customers: I may be required to present a current government-issued photo ID, along with the title, registration, proof of insurance, or other reasonable documentation demonstrating authority over the vehicle.
• For business, fleet, auction, dealership, or shop requests, LockNCal may require a current photo ID for the authorized representative, along with a work order, repair order, bill of sale, registration, title, insurance, or other documentation demonstrating authority over the vehicle.
• Matching information: I understand the Name and information on the documents provided must reasonably match the person or entity requesting service, or I must provide written authorization showing I am permitted to request service for the vehicle.
• Service refusal: If I cannot provide acceptable proof of ownership/authorization, or if the information appears inconsistent, suspicious, or incomplete, LockNCal may refuse service. In that case, all payments remain final and non-refundable.

2) Scope of Service – Execution Only (Not Guaranteed Outcome)

I understand I am paying for the attempted execution of the booked locksmith service, including key cutting, key programming, lock/immobilizer-related procedures, and other applicable service steps.

• LockNCal does not guarantee that locksmith service will resolve every vehicle issue.
• Successful completion depends on the vehicle’s condition, immobilizer/security status, existing electrical or module faults, prior repairs, the correct key type, and other factors outside LockNCal’s control.
• LockNCal is not obligated to diagnose root-cause electrical, immobilizer, wiring, or module issues unless a separate diagnostic service is booked.

3) Key Type Policy (Aftermarket by Default / OEM by Request)

• Default key type: I understand LockNCal generally quotes and provides aftermarket keys by default.
• OEM by request: If I want OEM keys, I must request that in advance (for example, in the booking notes or during the quote process), and I understand an adjusted quote may apply.
• No guarantee of OEM availability: I understand OEM key availability may vary by vehicle and supply conditions.
• Parts control: For security, quality-control, and compatibility reasons, LockNCal may require the use of keys/remotes supplied through LockNCal’s sourcing and may refuse to use customer-supplied keys/remotes where LockNCal determines that doing so would increase risk, create compatibility issues, or compromise service quality.

4) Vehicle-Specific Procedures and Variable Pricing

I understand not all vehicles are “standard” and some require additional locksmith procedures, security access, programming steps, immobilizer procedures, or other vehicle-specific requirements.

• Additional charges may apply: If my vehicle requires additional procedures, keys, programming, or other extra work, LockNCal may provide an updated quote before continuing, when reasonably possible.
• All Keys Lost (AKL) example: I understand some vehicles require two programmed keys when all keys are lost. If I book one key and my vehicle requires two, the second key and related programming are charged separately and must be paid before service is completed.
• Declining required additional items: If I decline required additional keys, procedures, or charges, LockNCal may stop service, and all prior payments remain final and non-refundable.

5) Vehicle Type and Capability Limits

I understand LockNCal primarily specializes in certain vehicle categories and may limit or refuse service on vehicles it determines are outside its practical capability, tooling, training, or available support.

• Some vehicles may require specialized tools, software, or procedures that LockNCal does not offer for that specific booking.
• If LockNCal determines before service is performed that it cannot perform the requested locksmith service due solely to LockNCal’s internal capability, tooling, or training limitation, LockNCal may cancel the service and issue a refund for the amount paid for that service.
• This does not apply where service cannot be completed due to vehicle condition, missing documentation, incorrect booking, installed aftermarket components, immobilizer/security restrictions, or other customer/vehicle factors.

6) Vehicle Condition / No Guaranteed Full Functionality

I understand some vehicles may have pre-existing electrical, immobilizer, module, network, or wiring issues that prevent successful key creation, programming, remote functionality, or full system operation.

• LockNCal is not responsible for prior repairs, prior diagnoses, aftermarket modifications, hidden damage, wiring faults, module issues, or security-system problems that interfere with service.
• LockNCal does not guarantee full remote, push-start, proximity, memory, comfort-access, or other advanced functionality if the vehicle has underlying faults or requires additional work not included in the original booking.

7) Site Access, Appointment Readiness, and Safe Conditions

I agree the vehicle will be present at the scheduled location/time, accessible, and in a reasonably safe environment for the technician to work.

• If the vehicle is unavailable, blocked, moved, inaccessible, or the site is unsafe, unsuitable, or impractical, LockNCal may refuse, stop, or reschedule service.
• If the vehicle cannot be serviced due to access issues, unsafe conditions, or lack of required documentation, all payments remain final and non-refundable.

8) No Cancellations / No Refunds / Final Sale Policy

• All bookings are final: once an automotive locksmith service is booked and paid for, all sales are final.
• No refunds due to outcome or eligibility: No refund will be issued if service is refused or cannot be completed due to missing/insufficient ownership documents, a mismatch of information, inability to perform the service safely, vehicle condition, immobilizer/security restrictions, parts availability, required extra procedures, or any factor outside LockNCal’s control.
• No refunds due to service stoppage: If service is stopped because required additional items or charges are declined, all prior payments remain final and non-refundable.
• Chargeback acknowledgement: I agree not to dispute or charge back the payment because LockNCal reserves appointment capacity, performs professional labor, and attempts service in good faith.

9) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LockNCal is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to towing costs, rental vehicle costs, storage fees, missed work, lost wages, downtime, inconvenience, or related losses.

If LockNCal is found liable for any reason, LockNCal’s total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific locksmith service at issue.

10) Customer Authorization

• I confirm that I am the vehicle owner or an authorized agent for this vehicle and that the information I provide is accurate.
• I authorize LockNCal to access the vehicle as reasonably necessary to perform the booked locksmith service, including connecting diagnostic/programming equipment and carrying out key programming, immobilizer programming, or related procedures, as applicable.
• I authorize LockNCal to communicate with me by text message and phone regarding quotes, approvals, additional required charges, and service updates.

By booking, paying for, or receiving Automotive Locksmith Services from LockNCal, I electronically sign and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
