Terms and Conditions for Airbag Replacement Services

IMPORTANT: Airbags and related SRS components are life-safety systems. Airbag replacement depends on the correct selection of parts, proper installation, vehicle condition, and the completion of any additional required SRS repairs, programming, or calibration. By booking, paying for, or receiving Airbag Replacement Services from LockNCal, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms below.
This page works together with LockNCal’s Return & Refund Policy, Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Acknowledgments, Disclaimers & Legal Consents. If any conflict arises, these service-specific disclosure controls apply to Airbag Replacement Services.
1) Deposit, Pricing, and What the Booking Payment Covers
I understand the amount paid at booking is a non-refundable deposit used to reserve the appointment date/time, allocate technician capacity, and begin preparing the quote, researching parts, and verifying parts.
- The booking deposit does not include airbags, related SRS components, programming, calibration, or additional repairs unless expressly stated in writing.
- Final price depends on the vehicle’s year, make, model, trim, specific airbag location(s), number of airbags required, parts availability, and the actual SRS condition.
- I understand the booking payment reserves time and resources and is not a guarantee of the final total cost.
2) Parts Policy (OEM vs. OEM-Equivalent / No Customer-Supplied Airbags)
I understand LockNCal may quote airbag replacement using one of the following options, depending on availability and my choice:
- OEM (new) airbags
- OEM-equivalent airbags (used) sourced through LockNCal’s suppliers
I also understand:
- If I choose OEM-equivalent/used airbags, such parts are previously owned and may show cosmetic wear, and availability/pricing may change quickly.
- For safety, quality control, and liability reasons, LockNCal does not install customer-supplied airbags or SRS parts under any circumstances.
- OEM parts availability may be limited or delayed due to vehicle configuration, supply chain conditions, and market conditions.
3) VIN, Photos, and Quote Accuracy
To provide an accurate quote, I agree to promptly provide any information LockNCal reasonably requests, which may include:
- VIN
- Clear photos of the deployed airbag(s)
- Photos of affected interior areas
- Photos of the dashboard warning lights (with key on, where applicable)
- Photos of visible collision damage and repair status
- Prior invoices, scan reports, or parts lists, if available
I understand that incorrect, incomplete, or delayed information may result in quote delays, incorrect part selection, revised pricing, rescheduling, or an inability to proceed.
4) Quote Delivery and Approval
I understand a quote is generally provided by text message within 24–48 business hours after booking, excluding weekends and holidays, although parts verification or availability checks may require additional time.
- Airbag replacement work and parts ordering generally require my approval before LockNCal proceeds.
- If new information is discovered after booking—such as additional deployed components, damaged wiring, missing parts, prior improper repairs, or module/sensor faults—LockNCal may issue a revised quote.
- If I decline the quote or revised quote, all amounts already paid remain final and non-refundable.
5) Additional SRS Components May Be Required
I understand airbag replacement may not be the only repair required to restore the SRS system.
Additional parts, services, or repairs may be needed, including but not limited to:
- Seat belt pretensioners or seat belt replacement
- Impact/crash sensors
- Clockspring/spiral cable
- Airbag control module reset or replacement
- Occupant seat/weight/classification components
- Wiring/connectors
- Programming, coding, initialization, or calibration
- Trim components, fasteners, or other related parts
I understand that if additional components or services are required, they are billed separately unless expressly included in writing.
6) Scope Limits – No Safety Certification / No Guaranteed Roadworthiness
I understand that replacing an airbag or related SRS component does not certify that the vehicle is safe, roadworthy, or restored to OEM crash readiness.
- LockNCal does not guarantee that replacing one or more airbags will fully resolve all SRS issues on the vehicle.
- I am responsible for ensuring the vehicle is fully repaired and properly inspected in accordance with OEM procedures before operating it.
7) Pre-Existing Conditions / Prior Repairs / Vehicle Condition
I understand LockNCal is not responsible for pre-existing issues or conditions that may affect airbag replacement results, including but not limited to:
- Prior collision repairs
- Improper prior repairs
- Missing components
- Aftermarket modifications
- Electrical/wiring faults
- Water intrusion or corrosion
- Module faults, sensor faults, or communication issues
- Vehicle condition outside LockNCal’s control
I understand such conditions may delay, increase the cost of, or prevent the successful completion of the service.
8) Vehicle Access, Appointment Readiness, and Service Conditions
I agree the vehicle will be present at the scheduled location/time, accessible, and in a reasonably safe environment for the technician to work.
- If the vehicle is unavailable, blocked, inaccessible, unsafe, or not ready for service, LockNCal may refuse, stop, or reschedule service.
- If service is delayed or cannot proceed due to vehicle condition, site condition, parts availability, safety concerns, or operational constraints, all payments already made remain final and non-refundable.
9) No Cancellations / No Refunds / Final Sale Policy
- All bookings are final: Once Airbag Replacement Services are booked and paid for, they are non-refundable.
- No refunds due to outcome: No refund will be issued if I change my mind, decline the quote, request a different parts option later, provide incomplete or incorrect information, experience parts delays/unavailability, or if the vehicle requires additional SRS-related repairs beyond airbag replacement.
- No refunds due to service stoppage: If required additional parts, repairs, or charges are declined, service may stop, and all prior payments remain final and non-refundable.
- Chargeback acknowledgement: I agree not to dispute or charge back the payment because LockNCal reserves capacity and performs professional labor, administrative work, and attempted/performed service in good faith.
10) Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LockNCal is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to towing costs, rental vehicle costs, storage fees, missed work, lost wages, downtime, inconvenience, or related losses.
If LockNCal is found liable for any reason, LockNCal’s total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific Airbag Replacement Service at issue.
11) Customer Authorization
- I confirm that I am the vehicle owner or an authorized agent for this vehicle and that the information I provide is accurate.
- I authorize LockNCal to communicate with me by text message and phone regarding quotes, parts options, approvals, scheduling, delays, and service updates.
- I authorize LockNCal to perform the booked airbag replacement-related work and take reasonable steps necessary to execute the approved service.
By booking, paying for, or receiving Airbag Replacement Services from LockNCal, I electronically sign and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

I initially went to the dealership when the airbag light in my Nissan Rogue had come on. Upon diagnostic review, the dealership advised that it would cost around $4500 to correct the issues that they were seeing with the system. I decided to get a 2nd opinion and I called DFW Safety Restore. Jose was able to work me in next day. He was prompt and right on time for my appointment in coming out to my house to run a diagnostic on my car. The first scan showed a host of issues, the same issues the dealership reported and more. So many, that Jose suggested resetting the codes and rerunning the diagnostic to get a true picture of what was going on. He said if there are true issues with the system the diagnostic codes would reappear. The reset worked and the system went back to normal. My brother had a minor accident but it hit exactly where the air bag sensor was located. Due to the age and miles of the car, it was a total loss. We had the option of keeping the car at a lower value (salvage title) or full loss value. We were not going to be close in the cost of replacing the car if we took the full value so we tried to get several quotes to fix. Most places wouldn’t give a quote or even touch the car.
