Mail-In Airbag Module Reset Service Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 05/23/2026
These Mail-In Airbag Module Reset Service Terms & Conditions (“Mail-In Terms”) apply to any LockNCal mail-in airbag module reset, crash data deletion, SRS module reset, or related mail-in service request, including the use of any prepaid shipping label provided by LockNCal.
By submitting a mail-in request, purchasing a mail-in service, using a LockNCal shipping label, sending an airbag control module, SRS module, restraint control module, or any related component to LockNCal, you (“Customer,” “you”) acknowledge and agree to these Mail-In Terms, together with LockNCal’s Return & Refund Policy, Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and any service-specific disclosures accepted at checkout.
IMPORTANT: Mail-in airbag module reset services are affected by the condition of the module, prior crash events, prior repairs, prior reset attempts, internal circuit condition, corrosion, water damage, electrical damage, improper handling, shipping damage, carrier performance, vehicle-related issues, and whether the module was previously opened, modified, programmed, repaired, tampered with, or serviced by another party.
By using this service, you understand and agree that LockNCal is not responsible for any pre-existing condition, prior damage, prior work, failed prior reset attempt, third-party repair attempt, DIY repair attempt, tampering, programming issue, corrupted data, internal defect, communication failure, or any condition that existed before LockNCal received the module.
1) Scope of Service
LockNCal’s mail-in airbag module reset service is limited to attempting to reset crash data and/or crash event data from eligible airbag control modules, SRS modules, restraint control modules, or similar vehicle safety modules.
- Reset service only: This service does not guarantee that the module, vehicle, airbag system, seat belt system, SRS system, or any related safety system will function properly after installation.
- No vehicle diagnosis included: Because the vehicle is not physically present, LockNCal cannot diagnose the complete vehicle, wiring, sensors, seat belts, airbags, connectors, power supply, grounds, fuses, crash sensors, occupancy sensors, or other related components.
- No guarantee of vehicle repair: A successfully reset module does not guarantee that all warning lights will turn off or that the vehicle’s SRS/airbag system will be fully operational.
- Additional repairs may be required: The vehicle may still require additional diagnosis, programming, calibration, replacement parts, wiring repairs, scan tool procedures, or dealer-level service after the module is returned.
2) Customer Responsibility for Module Condition
You are solely responsible for the condition, history, accuracy, and suitability of the module you send to LockNCal.
- Unknown module history: LockNCal has no way to know the complete history of any module before it is received, including prior crash events, resets, programming, electrical damage, repair attempts, tampering, or prior service by another company or individual.
- Pre-existing damage: LockNCal is not responsible for any damage, defect, failure, corruption, communication issue, or internal problem that existed before the module arrived at LockNCal.
- Customer assumes risk: By sending a module to LockNCal, you accept the risk that the module may be damaged, defective, corrupted, altered, non-communicative, non-resettable, previously worked on, or otherwise unsuitable for service.
- No duty to prove prior damage: LockNCal is not required to prove exactly when, how, or by whom a module was damaged, altered, corrupted, opened, modified, or rendered non-resettable.
3) Previously Opened, Worked-On, Modified, or Tampered Modules
This section is extremely important. Many airbag modules are damaged before they are sent to LockNCal because someone previously attempted to reset, repair, clone, program, solder, modify, open, bench-test, or otherwise service the module.
If the module was previously opened, repaired, modified, soldered, programmed, cloned, bench-tested, reset, altered, tampered with, chemically cleaned, damaged, or serviced by you, another individual, another shop, another company, another technician, or any third party before LockNCal receives it, LockNCal is not responsible for the outcome.
- Prior DIY attempts: LockNCal is not responsible if you or anyone else attempted a DIY reset, EEPROM read/write, crash data deletion, soldering, chip removal, programming, cloning, bench reset, or any other repair before sending the module to LockNCal.
- Prior third-party service: LockNCal is not responsible if the module was previously sent to another company, shop, technician, programmer, locksmith, electronics repair provider, online reset provider, or individual before being sent to LockNCal.
- Unknown prior work: Even if you do not know whether the module was previously worked on, you accept full responsibility for the module’s condition and history.
- Prior failed reset attempts: If a previous reset attempt, programming attempt, repair attempt, or data modification caused corruption, communication failure, unreadable data, permanent lockout, circuit board damage, memory damage, processor damage, or any other issue, LockNCal is not responsible.
- No refund for prior work issues: No refund will be issued if the module cannot be reset, read, written, repaired, communicated with, or restored because it was previously opened, modified, damaged, corrupted, tampered with, or worked on by any person or company before LockNCal received it.
- No replacement responsibility: LockNCal is not responsible for replacing the module, purchasing a replacement module, programming a replacement module, reimbursing the cost of a replacement module, or paying any related expenses if the module cannot be reset or serviced due to prior work, prior damage, unknown history, or pre-existing condition.
4) No Refunds for Non-Resettable, Damaged, Corrupted, or Previously Worked-On Modules
All mail-in airbag module reset service payments are final and non-refundable, except only where LockNCal expressly states otherwise in writing.
No refund will be issued if the module cannot be reset, serviced, read, written, repaired, communicated with, or restored due to any condition outside LockNCal’s control.

- Incorrect module sent

- Damage caused by improper packaging or shipping
- Any condition that existed before LockNCal received the module
You agree that LockNCal is being paid for the professional time, inspection, handling, administrative processing, equipment use, software access, shipping coordination, and service attempt associated with your order, not for a guaranteed successful reset of every module regardless of condition or history.
5) No Responsibility for Replacement Modules, Vehicle Downtime, or Related Expenses
If a module cannot be reset, cannot communicate, cannot be read, cannot be written, is internally damaged, is corrupted, was previously worked on, or does not function after service due to any condition outside LockNCal’s control, LockNCal is not responsible for any related cost, damage, loss, or expense.

7) Customer Packaging Responsibility
- You are responsible for packaging: You must properly package the module before shipment.
- Packaging standard: Modules must be securely packed to prevent movement, impact, moisture exposure, static discharge, crushing, bending, and shipping damage. Use a sturdy box and sufficient protective padding.
- Moisture protection: Modules should be protected from water, rain, moisture, and humidity exposure during transit.
- Static/electronics protection: Because modules contain electronic components, you are encouraged to use appropriate anti-static protection where available.
- Damage from packaging: LockNCal is not responsible for damage caused by improper packaging, inadequate protection, moisture exposure, impact, static discharge, crushing, carrier handling, or failure to follow reasonable shipping precautions.
- Photographs recommended: You are strongly encouraged to photograph the module, part number label, condition, packaging materials, and sealed box before shipment for your own records.

- No guaranteed completion date: LockNCal does not guarantee delivery dates, transit times, inspection dates, service completion dates, return-shipping dates, or final delivery dates.

What Others Say About Us & Our Services
The website was easy to navigate and I found the service I needed and was able to book the perfect time between work. The technician messaged me a day early letting me know that he would be in the area and gave me the option to get it taken care of early but unfortunately I was working. If I hadn't been that would have been amazing to get it done ahead of time. He was on time and very pleasant. Worked quickly and got my problem taken care of. It was such a better experience than sitting in a waiting room with strangers or having to take an Uber back and forth to avoid such situation. I'm already recommending them to my friends because of how easy it was. Why go to a shop to get your car fixed at the shop can just come to you?
