🧾 LockNCal – Acknowledgments, Disclaimers & Legal Consents

Acknowledgments & Customer Agreements

Effective Date: 03/04/2026

IMPORTANT: All items below must be read, understood, and agreed to before scheduling and paying for any LockNCal service. By proceeding, I confirm these acknowledgments are part of my service agreement with LockNCal.


1) All Sales Final (No Cancellations / No Refunds)

I understand and agree that all payments are final and non-refundable. LockNCal does not offer cancellations once a service is booked and paid for. This applies to all deposits, booking fees, mobile/on-site services, mail-in services, reports, and parts purchases.

I understand my payment reserves technician capacity, travel planning, and administrative resources.

2) Rescheduling Policy (Limited)

I understand LockNCal does not guarantee rescheduling. Any reschedule is provided only at LockNCal’s discretion and based on availability. Rescheduling may require additional fees. No refunds are issued for reschedule requests, missed appointments, or delays caused by customer/vehicle/site conditions.

Weather exception (ADAS only): If an ADAS calibration must be performed outdoors and weather conditions prevent safe/accurate calibration, LockNCal may reschedule that calibration at no additional charge. This is a reschedule policy only and does not create any right to a refund.

3) Accuracy of Vehicle Information

I certify that all information I provide (including Year, Make, Model, VIN, mileage if requested, key status, and service location) is accurate and complete. I understand LockNCal is not responsible for delays, incorrect quoting, inability to complete service, or additional costs caused by inaccurate, incomplete, or late information.

4) Technician Access, Power, and Safety Requirements

I agree to provide:

  • A safe work environment
  • Flat, level ground (required for many calibrations)
  • Adequate space to work (for ADAS work, this may require multiple parking spaces of clearance)
  • Reasonable access to the vehicle (unblocked, present, and accessible)
  • Where required, access to a power source (outlet) so LockNCal can use its equipment

If the location is unsafe, obstructed, unsuitable, or lacks required prerequisites, LockNCal may refuse, pause, or stop service. I understand my booking remains final and non-refundable.

5) Scope Limits & “Execution, Not Guaranteed Results.”

I understand that LockNCal provides specialized services and that successful completion depends on the vehicle’s condition, prior repairs, part quality, proper installation, stable voltage, and module/network communication. I understand I am paying for professional time and attempted/performed services, not for guaranteed results or a guaranteed resolution of every issue.

6) No Obligation to Diagnose or Provide Repair Recommendations

I understand LockNCal technicians are not obligated to diagnose root causes, provide repair plans, or provide detailed troubleshooting recommendations unless I have booked a diagnostic service that explicitly includes those steps. If additional diagnostic work is needed beyond what I booked, I understand it requires a separate appointment and fee.

7) Additional Charges (Parts, Procedures, Complexity)

I understand additional parts, procedures, or labor may be required to complete the requested service (examples: programming required before calibration, additional keys required for certain all-keys-lost situations, additional SRS components required after a collision).

If additional items are required, LockNCal will present a quote for approval. If I approve, I understand additional charges must be paid as communicated (often immediately before completion). If I decline the required additional items, service may stop, and my payment remains final and non-refundable.

8) Parts Disclosure (OEM Refurbished / Aftermarket / OEM Options)

I understand LockNCal may use OEM refurbished and/or aftermarket parts depending on availability, pricing, and service type. If I want new OEM parts (where available), I must request “NEW OEM” in the booking notes before payment and/or as instructed during quoting, and I understand an adjusted quote will apply.

I understand LockNCal is not affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer and does not claim manufacturer certification. All parts sales are final, and parts are not returnable through LockNCal.

9) SRS / Seat Belt / ADAS Outcomes Depend on Vehicle Condition

I understand that safety-system services (SRS/Airbags, seat belts/pretensioners, ADAS calibrations) may not be possible or may fail due to conditions outside LockNCal’s control (including incomplete repairs, incorrect parts, improper installation, misalignment, wiring faults, low voltage, network faults, water intrusion/corrosion, or prior work performed by others). In these cases, I understand no refund is issued.

10) Key-Making / Locksmith Disclosures (Ownership Required)

I understand:

  • LockNCal specializes in providing aftermarket keys by default (OEM keys may be available by request and will change pricing).
  • Pricing varies by vehicle, key type, and programming complexity. Some vehicles require additional steps and may require more than one key (example: certain all-keys-lost situations require two programmed keys).
  • I must provide current photo ID and proof of ownership/authorization (title/registration/insurance/bill of sale/work order as applicable). If I cannot provide acceptable documentation, LockNCal may refuse service,e and my payment remains final and non-refundable.

11) Vehicle Diagnostic Disclaimer (Scan-Only / 1-Hour Limit)

If I book a diagnostic service, I understand LockNCal provides a scan-only diagnostic limited to systems related to LockNCal services (typically SRS/Airbag, ADAS, Anti-Theft/IMMO). This is not a full-vehicle diagnostic and does not include engine/misfire diagnosis or time-intensive electrical troubleshooting (harness tracing, open/short testing, network integrity mapping, etc.).

I understand diagnostic results reflect what the vehicle reports at the time of scanning and are not a guaranteed solution. The scan-only diagnostic is limited to 1 hour. Any additional work requires a separate booking and fee.

12) Module Programming Time Policy (2 Hours Included + Overage)

If I book module programming, I understand the service includes up to 2 hours on-site. If more time is required, LockNCal will pause and request approval to continue. Additional time is billed at $175/hour in 30-minute increments ($87.50 per half hour) and must be paid immediately upon approval to continue work. If I decline, service may stop, and payment remains final and non-refundable.

13) CARFAX / Vehicle Report Delivery

If I purchase a vehicle report, I understand reports are delivered electronically (email) typically within 24–48 business hours. No physical copies are provided. All report purchases are final and non-refundable.

14) Payment Authorization

I authorize LockNCal to charge my payment method for the services and/or products selected, including any approved additional charges. I understand that all charges are final and non-refundable, as stated in LockNCal’s policies and disclosures.

15) Limited Labor Guarantee (30 Days – Labor Only)

I understand LockNCal provides a limited 30-day labor/artistry guarantee on labor performed by LockNCal only. This does not cover parts, pre-existing conditions, wiring/electrical faults, vehicle communication faults, corrosion/water intrusion, new accidents, tampering, third-party repairs, or consequential damages (towing, rental cars, downtime, lost income, etc.).

16) Photo/Video/Audio Recording Consent & Content Release

I understand and agree that LockNCal may photograph, film, and/or audio-record its work before, during, and after service. Recordings may include (without limitation) people/voices, my vehicle (interior/exterior), license plate/VIN, tool screens, diagnostic results, fault codes, and any other visuals/audio captured while service is performed.

I grant LockNCal and its owners, technicians, partners, and affiliates a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable right and license to use, reproduce, edit, modify, publish, distribute, and publicly display this content in any media for lawful purposes including marketing/advertising, social media, website content, training, quality control, documentation, and internal use. I waive any right to inspect or approve the content and acknowledge I will receive no compensation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless LockNCal from any claims related to the recording or use of content, including privacy/publicity claims.

If I do not consent, I must notify LockNCal in writing in the booking notes before payment. LockNCal may decline or limit service if recording consent is not granted. All payments remain final and non-refundable.

17) Limitation of Liability

I acknowledge LockNCal will perform services with professional care; however, to the fullest extent permitted by law, LockNCal is not liable for pre-existing, hidden, intermittent, or subsequent issues that arise due to vehicle condition, system sensitivity, manufacturer design, aftermarket modifications, wiring faults, low voltage, communication/network faults, corrosion/water intrusion, or prior repairs/diagnosis by others.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless LockNCal from direct or consequential damages, including (without limitation) warning lights, sensor malfunction, battery drain, module communication loss, immobilizer/security lockouts, or electronic system failures caused by factors outside LockNCal’s control.

18) Electronic Signature and Consent (E-SIGN)

By submitting this form and/or completing payment, I acknowledge that my electronic signature and submission constitute a legally binding agreement under the E-SIGN Act (15 U.S.C. §7001). I confirm I have read, understood, and agree to all terms, disclosures, and acknowledgments listed above.
