Once submitted, the system will provide clear pricing for the selected service(s) before confirmation, ensuring transparency and no surprises.

85% of the time, we can reset, program, and/or delete the crash event stored in the airbag module without removing it. We do all this through the OBDll port. If your vehicle falls into the other 15% that requires the module to be removed, you will be responsible for removing it or finding someone who can remove and reinstall it. LockNCal is solely responsible for resetting and programming the airbag module. Any damages or malfunctions caused by the removal or reinstallation of the airbag module will be the customer’s responsibility.

In the majority of cases, this process takes no more than 60 minutes.

We need your vehicle’s VIN to confirm the specific type of safety system your vehicle has. Sometimes, even though the car is the same year, make, and model, its safety systems can vary depending on where it was built and the month it was manufactured. Having the VIN allows us to identify the correct safety systems on your vehicle, reduce the risk of incorrect diagnostics, and perform the proper repairs.

We do not report any of the diagnostics or repairs to CarFax. Nor report to any agency or financial institution since our agreement is directly with you, the customer.

No, if you agree to our quote, that price includes removing the old seatbelt and installing the new one.

After a collision, your airbag control module stores crash data and disables the system. A reset clears this data and restores the airbag system to OEM specs — often saving you hundreds over full replacement.

Go to our website: www.lockncal.com, find the (Schedule Your Service Now!) page, and use our step-by-step online booking form. It only takes 60 seconds to schedule your service.

We also offer special pricing for commercial accounts, including Dealerships, Body Shops, Collision Centers, Mechanical Shops, and Fleets. Give us a call, text, or email us for more information about our commercial pricing and services.

Single-stage belts have a single igniter; dual- and triple-stage belts have more complex mechanisms. We replace all types by replacing the seatbelts and restoring your safety system to full functionality.

A pretensioner is part of your seat belt system that tightens instantly during a crash. After deployment, it must be replaced to maintain vehicle safety.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) include features such as lane assist, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot detection. After a collision or windshield replacement, these systems need precise recalibration to function safely.

We perform calibrations for Lane Departure, Blind Spot Detection, Adaptive Cruise Control, Rear Collision Monitoring, Around View Monitoring, Night Vision, and Windshield Sensors, among many others. Book a service today, and we will tell you precisely what calibration or programming your vehicle needs.

Unfortunately No. Due to high demand for our services, you and your vehicle must be available at the time and location you booked. If you are a no-show, you will lose the amount you paid at the time of booking, and you will be required to make an appointment and pay again to rebook a service.

Absolutely. Our online booking form allows you to add multiple services and or vehicles.

Yes. All our services come with a 90-day warranty on workmanship and parts. ADAS calibrations do not include a service guarantee per OEM specs.

Due to the nature of electronic and safety system repair and replacement, we do not offer refunds once service is booked, confirmed, and or performed. Please review our full refund policy before booking.

We require a flat, level, spacious, and clean surface to perform services. Covered garages or shaded driveways are ideal. Please ensure the technician has space to work safely.

No

No. You’ll receive a confirmation and a message when the appointment is booked. The only reason the technician will contact you directly before arrival is if he or she is available sooner, and they will reach out to see if you would like the service done sooner. Or if he or she is running late for some reason. Then they have to let you know that they are on their way.

Despite the unfortunate situation where one of our technicians may be late or miss an appointment, we do not issue a refund. But we will provide you with priority service and re-book your appointment for the date and time that works best for you.

We work on most passenger American and Asian vehicles, trucks, and SUVs, as well as some commercial fleet vehicles. If your car is not from an American or Asian brand, book a vehicle diagnostic service, and we will see if we can assist you with your repair needs.

Yes — we work with many private owners, body shops, collision centers, and used car dealerships that handle salvage or rebuilt titles and can help bring those vehicles into compliance with safety standards.

Possibly. Water damage complicates airbag module repair. We’ll inspect the module and let you know whether a replacement is required.

Yes. Malfunctioning belts can lock or fail to retract even without a crash deployment. We can replace these belts on-site.

We currently operate during standard business hours, but may accommodate urgent requests based on technician availability.

Most airbag modules store crash data but are still fully functional — they need to be reset. If the unit is physically damaged, corroded, or waterlogged, it may need to be replaced. We inspect the unit first, and after our findings, we will let you know if you need a new airbag module or if we can reset the one that your vehicle currently has.

It depends — if the airbag light is caused by crash data, pretensioner deployment, or seat belt fault, resetting and repairing those components will turn off the airbag warning light. If other sensors are faulty, we’ll notify you, and you’ll decide whether to fix them. Not fixing all the problems with your vehicle’s safety system may mean the airbag light on your dashboard won’t turn off.

All seat belt and module services include a 90-day workmanship warranty. If the light returns for the same reason and it’s still within the 90-day guarantee, we’ll diagnose and repair it at no extra charge. Just reach out to us directly via email so we can address the issue ASAP.

Yes. Replacing a windshield, or bumper, or even realigning the suspension can knock ADAS sensors out of alignment. Even 1–2° of misalignment can affect lane assist or collision detection.

It’s not recommended. Your restraint system is not working correctly. In case of a crash, your life will be in danger. You could fail inspections or violate safety compliance, especially if operating commercial or fleet vehicles.

If you’re in the DFW metroplex, we’ve got you covered. For cities outside that area, send us a request, and we will get back to you within 48 business hours.

No worries — fill out the online form and schedule a vehicle diagnostic service, and write in the notes area what your vehicle is experiencing (e.g., “seat belt locked after crash”). We’ll come to you, inspect the vehicle, and recommend the appropriate service.

Yes. We work with repair shops, dealers, and insurance adjusters daily. We will invoice you and include the documentation needed for your reimbursement.

Yes — after every service, we provide you with a digital receipt and a post-repair report confirming that all repairs for which you paid have been completed.

We mainly work with American and Asian vehicles, 2008 or newer. But occasionally we work with other vehicle makes and Models.

Yes, we offer special discounts for our Military personnel with an Active ID. We also offer special discounts for First Responders and Educators/Teachers.

We do not work directly with electrical problems on a vehicle. But we can definitely help with diagnosing the specific problem and refer you to one of our partners who can assist with the electrical issues in your car.

We use our own employees, and if we have too much work for our own staff to handle, we will subcontract to other partners to provide those services.

Yes. Even a minor collision or windshield replacement can misalign your ADAS sensors.

Typically 1–2 hours, depending on the system and vehicle.

Yes, but it’s unsafe. Your systems may fail when you need them most.

Yes — we follow manufacturer specifications to ensure safety and compliance.

Typically 1–2 hours, depending on the vehicle.

We use OEM or OEM-equivalent parts (new or certified refurbished) or aftermarket parts, depending on availability and the customer’s budget.

Every module must match your vehicle’s VIN, airbag sensors, and configuration for safety compliance.

On many occasions, yes—if compatible with your vehicle and your vehicle’s safety systems allow it, we can program OEM or certified-refurbished modules.

No, we do not offer any services for seat belt webbing issues.

Yes — steering wheel, passenger, knee, curtain, and side airbags.

Airbag warning light, horn not working, or malfunctioning steering wheel buttons.

Yes — in most cases, we can complete repairs immediately after diagnosing the issue. And if, for some reason, we can’t, we will schedule a future service call to return and perform the necessary repairs. And if, for some reason, the required repairs are beyond our scope and capabilities, we will refer you to one of our partner shops, where we will take care of all your vehicle’s needs.

We scan all major systems, including safety (Airbags, ADAS), engine, and electronics.

Yes, we work with all insurance companies. All you need is your claim number, and we will contact the insurance company directly. Then we’ll make sure we submit all the proper documentation and paperwork, and we will provide an estimate of precisely what your vehicle needs. Then we’re gonna submit that estimate to the insurance company, and as soon as they approve and pay for the repairs, we’re gonna perform the approved repairs and or replacement.

No. Programming the airbag module is usually done when you replace the airbag module in your vehicle with either a new or used one. Resetting the airbag module is generally done when you are involved in an accident, and you don’t want to spend the money and time to buy a brand-new airbag module, instead opting to save a significant amount by just having your vehicle’s current airbag module reset.

We only replace seatbelts; we do not repair them. We find that the cost of replacing the seatbelts is often very close to fixing them, and you have a functioning, sealed seatbelt instead of one that was opened and had its mechanism and components altered, risking the repairs not being done correctly. Therefore, risking your life and the lives of others in the vehicle.

Most services take 60 minutes on-site. Complex European keys or all‑keys‑lost situations may take longer due to immobilizer security requirements.

Yes. We use your vehicle identification number (VIN) and specialized equipment to cut and program a new master key or key fob, even when no original key or key fob exists anymore.

No. Our equipment and procedures follow manufacturer guidelines and do not affect factory warranties.

We usually use OEM Remanufactured keys and key fobs, or Aftermarket Keys and Key fobs. If you need OEM Keys or a Key fob, please let us know in the notes when you book your service online, and we will send you a separate quote for OEM Keys and a Key fob.

We operate Monday–Friday from 10 AM to 8 PM and some Saturdays, but not all of them, from 10 AM to 2 PM. Emergency lock‑out services may be available after hours for an additional fee.

We can cut keys for most domestic and asian makes from the last two decades. Certain high‑end European brands may require special blanks or procedures; contact us with your specific model to verify.

A duplicate key typically takes 20–30 minutes once we arrive. Cutting and programming a new key when all keys are lost may take 45–60 minutes, depending on the vehicle’s security system.

For duplicates, having the original key speeds up the process and ensures an exact match. If you’ve lost all keys, we can usually decode the lock or use your vehicle identification number (VIN) to create a new key.

Standard mechanical keys used on older vehicles do not require programming. Keys with embedded transponder chips or integrated key fobs must be programmed to start the car and operate remote functions.

Having multiple working keys is advantageous. Both keys will continue to function unless the old key is damaged or has a chip that the vehicle’s immobilizer no longer recognizes.

We support most American and asian cars and trucks from the mid‑1990s onward equipped with immobilizer systems. Some luxury brands and very new models may require dealer‑only access; contact us with your VIN to confirm.

Typically 30–45 minutes on site. If all keys are lost, additional time may be needed to obtain PIN codes from the manufacturer’s database.

The simple answer is that it is the law. But to further explain, as you can imagine, we are working with very sensitive information in a very delicate situation. Especially if all the keys are lost. We have to make sure that the vehicle belongs to you and that you have the necessary permission and authorization to access it.

Yes. We can remove old keys from the vehicle’s immobilizer memory, preventing them from starting the engine.

A transponder key has a chip that must be inserted into the ignition and turned; a smart key communicates wirelessly with the vehicle to allow keyless entry and push‑button start. Smart keys typically include additional features like remote start, trunk release, and memory settings.

Some vehicles allow reprogramming of used fobs; others require brand‑new keys for security reasons. Contact us with your vehicle’s details to determine whether a used fob can be paired with your vehicle.

On‑site programming usually takes 30–60 minutes. All‑keys‑lost situations or certain brands may require obtaining a PIN from the manufacturer, which can add time.

Most replacement and programming jobs take 30–45 minutes once we arrive. If we need to source a special fob or obtain a security PIN from the manufacturer, the process can take longer.

Fobs purchased online may be counterfeit, incompatible, or require complex programming beyond the reach of consumers. Our service ensures you get a compatible fob, cut and programmed correctly, with a warranty and professional support.

No. We use non‑destructive tools designed specifically for automotive lockouts. Your paint, windows, and locks remain intact. That said, we cannot warrant that no damage will occur while we try to open your vehicle, and we cannot be responsible for any damage incurred during the opening process.

Yes. We can extract broken keys from locks or ignitions and provide replacement keys or fobs after unlocking your vehicle.

Yes. Using your vehicle’s VIN, lock-decoding techniques, and manufacturer databases, we can cut and program a completely new key or fob, even if no original key or fob exists.

Typically 45–90 minutes on site, depending on the vehicle’s make, model, and security system. Some manufacturers require extra steps for code retrieval, which can add time.

Yes. We can program smart keys and push‑start fobs for most American and Asian modern vehicles. Let us know your vehicle’s details when booking.

In most cases, yes. Our mobile services avoid dealership markups, but we focus more on the convenience and quality of service we provide you when we come to your location—saving you time, addons, and headaches dealing with commission-based dealership personnel that are not technicians. All they do is try to sell you things that you don’t need.

Yes, but only Automotive Locksmith Services.

The services includes Broken Key Extraction, Vehicle Key Cutting, Transponder Key Programming, Smart Key Programming, Key Fob Replacement & Programming, Car Lockout Assistance, Vehicle All Keys Lost, Vehicle Key Duplication, Locksmith Services, Locksmithing Services

Unfortunately, the answer is No. Often, the keys and key fobs sold online are unreliable. And more often than not, they don’t work correctly. Frequently, these cannot be programmed into the vehicle, or they stop working shortly after programming. To offer you the service and quality you deserve, we need to provide you with keys and key fobs we know and trust.

Our services currently includes: ADAS Calibration, SRS Airbag Module Reset, All General Airbag services, Vehicle Diagnostic, Clock Spring Replacement, Seat Belt Replacement, Pre-Tensioner Replacement, CarFax Report, Free VIN decoder, Vehicle Key Cutting, Transponder Key Programming, Smart key programming, Key Fob replacement and programming, Car Lockout Assistance, Vehicle All keys lost, Vehicle key duplication, Vehicle key copying, Automotive Locksmith services, Broken key Extraction, and Airbag Module Programing. We also offer airbag module reset mail-in service. Just remove the airbag module, send it to us, we reset it and delete the crash data, and mail it back to you. Easy, affordable, and convenient. We are continually improving our skills and tools, so please check our service page; we will add new services in the near future.

Yes, the airbag light may remain illuminated after a module reset if other issues exist in the SRS system, such as faulty sensors, damaged wiring, unblown airbags that haven’t been replaced, or a faulty clock spring. The module reset only clears crash data from the module itself. If other components triggered the light, they must be repaired for the light to turn off.

Crash data is information stored in your airbag module after a collision. This data includes details about the impact, deployment status, and sensor readings. Once crash data is stored, the module locks the airbag system, preventing it from functioning until the data is cleared. Clearing this data (resetting the module) restores the system to factory condition, ensuring it protects you in future accidents.

Soft codes are temporary diagnostic trouble codes that can be cleared with an OBD-II scanner. They typically indicate minor issues, such as loose connections or sensor communication problems. Hard-coded crash-related codes are stored deep within the airbag module after deployment or a collision. Hard-coded data cannot be cleared with a standard scanner; it requires a professional module reset service to be erased.

No. Module reset is a legitimate repair method that restores your airbag system to OEM factory specifications. Insurance companies cannot distinguish between a reset module and a new one, as both function identically. The reset does not appear in vehicle history reports from services like Carfax.

It depends on the extent of the damage. Minor water exposure can sometimes be addressed, but modules with significant corrosion, visible water damage, or flood exposure typically cannot be reset safely and will require replacement. We will inspect the module and let you know if it can be reset or needs replacement.

A properly reset airbag module is restored to factory condition and will last the lifetime of your vehicle, just like a new module. The reset is permanent. The module will only need attention again if your vehicle is involved in another accident that triggers the airbag system.

If you don’t reset the airbag module, your airbag light will stay on, and your airbags will NOT deploy in another accident. This means you and your passengers will have no airbag protection, dramatically increasing the risk of serious injury or death. Most states also require functioning airbags to pass vehicle safety inspections.

No. While basic scan tools can read and clear soft codes (minor electrical faults), they CANNOT erase hard crash data stored in the airbag module. Only specialized equipment and programming can perform a true module reset that clears crash data and restores factory settings.

Static calibration is performed in a controlled environment while the vehicle is stationary. Special targets and equipment are used to calibrate cameras and sensors to precise measurements. Dynamic calibration is performed while the vehicle is driven at specific speeds and conditions, allowing the system to recalibrate by reading road markings and signs. Some vehicles require a single method; others require both (dual calibration).

Possibly. ADAS warning lights can indicate sensor misalignment (requiring calibration), but they can also indicate sensor damage, wiring issues, or software faults. We will perform a diagnostic scan to determine the exact cause. If calibration is needed, we’ll let you know. If there’s a different issue, we’ll explain what repairs are necessary.

It may appear to work, but it won’t work correctly. Uncalibrated ADAS sensors can issue false warnings, fail to detect hazards, or fail to activate when needed. For example, lane departure warnings might trigger when you’re centered in your lane, or emergency braking might not engage when there’s a real obstacle. Proper calibration is essential for these safety systems to function as designed.

The steering angle sensor measures the position and rotation of your steering wheel. It’s critical for ADAS features such as lane-keeping assist and electronic stability control. After suspension work, wheel alignment, or ADAS calibration, the steering angle sensor often requires a reset or recalibration to ensure accurate readings.

No. ADAS calibration requires specialized equipment, software, and training that meet strict manufacturer specifications. The process involves precise measurements, specific environmental conditions (flat surface, proper lighting, no obstructions), and access to vehicle diagnostic systems. Improper calibration can make safety systems unreliable and put you at risk.

Yes. Changing tire size affects your vehicle’s ride height and wheel rotation, which can throw off ADAS sensors that rely on precise vehicle geometry. Larger or smaller tires alter the angle at which cameras and radars detect the road, potentially causing false warnings or system failures.

ADAS calibration is event-driven, not time-driven. You need calibration after: windshield replacement, collision repairs, suspension/steering work, wheel alignment, tire size changes, or whenever ADAS warning lights appear. Some manufacturers recommend calibration checks during major service intervals (30k-50k miles), but there’s no universal schedule.

Any vehicle equipped with advanced driver assistance features requires calibration when those systems are affected by repairs or replacements. This includes vehicles with lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot detection, parking assist, forward-collision warning, or camera-based systems mounted behind the windshield. Most vehicles from 2015 onward have at least some ADAS features.

A transponder key contains a small electronic chip that communicates with your vehicle’s immobilizer system. When you insert the key and turn it, the chip sends a unique code to the car’s computer. If the code matches, the car starts. If not, the engine won’t start even if the physical key is correct. This technology prevents theft and has been standard in most vehicles since the mid-1990s.

Yes. Push-button start vehicles use smart keys (also called proximity keys) that communicate wirelessly with the car. We can cut and program new smart keys for most makes and models. The process is more complex than traditional key programming and requires specialized equipment to program the key fob for your vehicle’s system.

Key fob batteries typically last 3-4 years with normal use. Signs your battery is dying include reduced range (requiring you to be closer to the car for the fob to work), intermittent operation, or a low-battery warning on your dashboard. Replacing the battery is usually simple and inexpensive.

An immobilizer system is an electronic anti-theft device that prevents your car from starting unless the correct key (with the proper transponder chip) is used. When you try to start the car, the key’s chip must send the correct signal to the car’s computer. If the signal doesn’t match, the fuel system or ignition is disabled. This system has been mandatory in most vehicles since the late 1990s.

In some cases, yes, but we generally don’t recommend them. Aftermarket fobs can be unreliable, may not program correctly, and often stop working shortly after installation. We use OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or OEM-equivalent parts to ensure compatibility, reliability, and longevity. If you prefer aftermarket to save money, let us know when booking.

Don’t force it! A stuck key can indicate several issues: the steering wheel is locked, the shifter isn’t fully in Park, a worn key, or a faulty ignition cylinder. First, try wiggling the steering wheel while gently turning the key. Make sure your shifter is completely in Park. If the key still won’t come out, contact us for professional assistance to prevent damage to the ignition.

We focus on key cutting, programming, and lockout services rather than rekeying vehicle locks. However, if you’ve lost all keys, we can create new keys programmed to your vehicle, achieving the same level of security as rekeying.

We use specialized non-destructive tools designed specifically for automotive lockouts. These include slim jims, wedges, and long-reach tools that allow us to access the locking mechanism without scratching paint, breaking windows, or damaging door seals. While we take every precaution, we cannot guarantee zero risk during the unlocking process.

Key cutting is the physical process of creating the metal blade that fits your ignition and door locks. Key fob programming is the electronic process of syncing the transponder chip or remote functions with your vehicle’s computer system. Modern keys require both cutting the physical key and programming the electronics before the key can start your car.

Yes. Most manufacturers recommend replacing seat belts every 10-15 years, even without an accident. Over time, UV exposure, temperature changes, and normal wear can weaken the webbing and internal components. Regular inspection is important – look for fraying, stiffness, failure to retract, or difficulty latching.

A pretensioner is a safety device built into modern seat belts that tightens the belt immediately during a crash. It uses a small explosive charge to retract the belt, pulling you firmly against the seat before the airbag deploys. This reduces your forward movement and ensures maximum protection. Pretensioners are single-use – once activated, they must be replaced.

Yes. Signs of deployment include: the seat belt feels extremely tight and won’t release or retract; visible damage or melting to the belt mechanism; a burning smell near the seat belt; or an illuminated airbag light. If you’ve been in any collision, even a minor one, have the seat belts inspected – pretensioners can deploy even when airbags don’t.

No. You have no way of knowing the history of used seat belts – they may have been in an accident, deployed, or degraded from age. Seat belts are critical safety devices that must be reliable. We strongly recommend only using new OEM or certified replacement seat belts to ensure your safety.

If your seat belt needs replacement due to a collision, yes – it should be covered under your vehicle property damage claim or the at-fault driver’s insurance. Seat belts are considered part of the safety restraint system, and insurance typically covers their replacement after an accident. We can provide documentation for your insurance claim.

A seat belt that doesn’t retract properly may not hold you securely in a crash. Common causes include: debris in the mechanism, a worn retractor spring, internal damage, or pretensioner deployment. This is a safety issue that needs immediate attention. Don’t try to force it – contact us for inspection and replacement.

We only replace seat belts – we do not repair them. Attempting to repair seat belt webbing (sewing, gluing, or patching) compromises the belt’s structural integrity and can cause it to fail in a crash. The cost difference between repair and replacement is minimal, and replacement provides a factory-sealed, reliable safety device.

We do not recommend driving with a faulty clock spring. A bad clock spring can disable your airbag (meaning it won’t deploy in a crash), your horn (preventing you from warning other drivers), and steering wheel controls. These are critical safety features. Have it replaced as soon as possible to ensure your safety on the road.

Clock springs typically last 100,000+ miles under normal conditions. However, they can fail prematurely due to excessive steering-wheel turning (e.g., many sharp turns), a prior airbag deployment, steering-column damage, or manufacturing defects. Age and wear will eventually cause any clock spring to fail.

Clock springs cannot be repaired – they must be replaced. The internal ribbon cable is extremely delicate, and any damage to it is permanent. Attempting to repair a clock spring will compromise your airbag system and steering wheel functions. Replacement is the only safe option.

If the clock spring is the only issue causing the airbag light, then yes – replacing it will turn off the light. However, if there are other problems in the SRS system (faulty sensors, damaged wiring, deployed airbags), those issues must also be addressed. We will diagnose the system first to identify all problems.

Common causes include: normal wear and tear from years of steering, excessive steering-wheel rotation (turning the wheel too far), improper installation during previous repairs, airbag deployment (the force can damage the clock spring), and steering-column damage from a collision. Some vehicles have clock springs that are more prone to failure due to design.

Please ensure: the vehicle is parked on a flat, level surface; you have space around the vehicle for our technician to work safely; the area is well-lit (for outdoor locations); the vehicle is accessible and not blocked by other cars; and you have your vehicle registration or title available for ownership verification (for locksmith services).

Yes. We work on leased vehicles. All repairs and services are performed in accordance with manufacturer specifications, which protects your lease agreement. Please keep all service documentation we provide for your lease records.

Yes, we work on most electric and hybrid vehicles, including airbag module resets, seat belt replacements, clock spring replacements, and locksmith services. However, ADAS calibration requirements vary by model. Please provide your vehicle’s year, make, and model when booking so we can confirm compatibility.

In rare cases where we cannot complete the service on-site (due to unexpected complications, vehicle-specific issues, or equipment limitations), we will: explain the situation clearly, schedule a follow-up appointment to complete the work, or refer you to one of our partner facilities. You will not be charged for incomplete services.

Absolutely. After every service, we provide you with a digital receipt and a detailed service report showing exactly what was done to your vehicle. This documentation is important for your records, insurance claims, resale value, and lease agreements.

Yes! We offer special commercial pricing for dealerships, body shops, collision centers, mechanic shops, and fleet companies. We can handle multiple vehicles and provide priority scheduling for business customers. Contact us directly via phone, text, or email for a commercial services quote.

You can book multiple services in a single appointment through our online booking system. Combining services saves you time and ensures all work is completed in a single visit. Just select all the services you need when filling out the booking form.

Yes. We carry full liability insurance and all required business licenses. Our technicians are trained professionals, and we follow strict safety protocols. However, as with any repair work, there is always some inherent risk, which we minimize through proper procedures and insurance coverage.

It’s simple: 1. Purchase the service online. 2. Remove your airbag module from the vehicle. 3. Mail the module to our facility (address provided at checkout). We will reset it to factory specs and mail it back to you.

We prioritize speed. Once we receive your module, we typically complete the reset and ship it back within 48 business hours.

Yes. The airbag module (SRS ECU) is a computer. It does NOT contain explosives (unlike the airbags themselves or seat belt pretensioners). You can safely ship the module via USPS, UPS, or FedEx.

We do. After you purchase the airbag module mail-in service on our website, you will receive an email within 48 hours with a pre-filled shipping label so you can mail the airbag to us. It is your responsibility to package it properly. Once the reset is complete, we will mail it back to you at no additional charge.

No. Currently, our mail-in service is strictly for Airbag Module Resets. We offer Seat Belt Replacement only for our on-site mobile customers in DFW.

Physically, yes, but it won’t work immediately. Used modules are often ‘VIN-locked’ to the donor vehicle or retain prior crash data. We can program a used module to match your vehicle’s VIN and clear old data so it functions correctly.

No. Resetting the module restores it to its factory state (per OEM specifications). It is a repair, not a modification, and is protected under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

Yes. An airbag light can trigger due to a bad clock spring, a loose plug, or a sensor failure. We recommend booking our ‘Vehicle Safety System Diagnostic’ to pinpoint the exact cause before you spend money on parts.

Yes. We can source and install replacement airbags (steering wheel, dash, knee, curtain). We use OEM or certified aftermarket parts depending on your budget and availability.

Maybe. Lift kits and oversized tires alter the vehicle’s geometry, confusing standard ADAS software. We need to perform a custom evaluation to see if your specific setup can be safely calibrated.

Usually, no, unless the camera was removed to apply the tint. However, if the tint covers the camera lens, it can obstruct the view and cause system failure. We recommend avoiding tint over the ADAS camera lens.

It requires highly specialized targets, expensive laser equipment, and sophisticated software that must be updated constantly for every new car model. It is a precision service, similar to a medical scan for your car.

In most automotive cases, yes. That stamp is often a standard deterrent. As long as you can provide proof of ownership (Registration/Title + ID), we can cut and program a duplicate key.

Yes. These are high-security keys found on most modern Honda, Lexus, Ford, and European vehicles. We have the specialized cutting machines required to produce these keys on-site.

European vehicles have complex anti-theft systems. We can help with many of them, but please call or text us your specific Year/Make/Model first, as some require dealer-level access that we may need to verify.

We can try, but we cannot guarantee it. Online keys are often knock-offs with faulty chips. If it fails to program, you will still be charged for the service call and labor. We highly recommend using our certified keys, which come with a warranty.

This usually indicates an intermittent hardware fault, such as a loose seat-belt sensor or a failing clock spring, which triggers the light again. The reset cleared the crash data, but it can’t fix a broken wire. You will need a further professional diagnosis to identify the cause and the reason the airbag light is on.

“A ‘Soft Code’ is a temporary glitch (like a loose gas cap) that can be cleared with a cheap scanner. A ‘Hard Code’ (like Crash Data) is permanent and ‘locked’ into the memory. Hard codes require the professional reset service we provide.

On time, reliable and incredible service. Very honest about our repair and showed us the code log. Highly recommend. Already shared his information with a family member who didn’t even know this kind of service exists. Now I can feel confident that our family’s vehicle is safe to drive again.

I initially went to the dealership when the airbag light in my Nissan Rogue had come on. Upon diagnostic review, the dealership advised that it would cost around $4500 to correct the issues that they were seeing with the system. I decided to get a 2nd opinion and I called DFW Safety Restore. Jose was able to work me in next day. He was prompt and right on time for my appointment in coming out to my house to run a diagnostic on my car. The first scan showed a host of issues, the same issues the dealership reported and more. So many, that Jose suggested resetting the codes and rerunning the diagnostic to get a true picture of what was going on. He said if there are true issues with the system the diagnostic codes would reappear. The reset worked and the system went back to normal. I am so thankful for Jose, and DFW Safety Restore for saving me from unnecessary and very expensive work on my car. If you have airbag system issues with your vehicle, I highly, HIGHLY, recommend you give DFW Safety Restore a call first.

My brother had a minor accident but it hit exactly where the air bag sensor was located. Due to the age and miles of the car, it was a total loss. We had the option of keeping the car at a lower value (salvage title) or full loss value. We were not going to be close in the cost of replacing the car if we took the full value so we tried to get several quotes to fix. Most places wouldn’t give a quote or even touch the car. I only found 2 places that seemed solid to properly fix the cars primary issue (air bags and locked seat belts). Of those 2, DFW safety restore seemed more professional and communicated everything very clearly! He also helped me find a body shop to fix the car without spending thousands beyond the car’s value. The work, the professionalism, and the communication all 5 stars!! Super happy we kept the car and used DFW safety restore!!

After struggling to find the right parts on eBay for my daughter’s wrecked car, I searched for a local company that could restore and reprogram airbag modules and seatbelts. That’s when I found DFW Safety Restore, and I couldn’t be more grateful for their service. I reached out via their text chat and connected with Jose, who was an absolute pleasure to work with. Jose was incredibly polite, professional, and patient, taking the time to understand my needs and concerns. He followed up with a phone call to discuss everything in detail, offering clear, understandable solutions to all the issues with my daughter’s car. His expertise and willingness to explain things in a way I could grasp made the process stress-free. Jose’s generosity with his time and his exceptional customer service stood out as the best I’ve experienced in decades. He is the pinnacle of a professional technician, and I wish there were more people like him in the world. DFW Safety Restore, thanks to Jose, exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend their services to anyone needing car safety system repairs.

The next business day he sent me a quote for everything we discussed and the diagnostic report we looked at together. I highly recommend them!

The technician was able to clear the airbag light on our car. He came to our house and saved me the time and effort of having to remove and mail in the airbag control module for repair. He was able to do it in our driveway through the computer connection. Highly recommended and courteous service.

DFW Safety Restore has been an absolute game-changer for us. They handle all our ADAS calibrations, and we couldn't be happier with their service. Always on time, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. It's hard to find a team that gets it right every single time—but they do. Their mobile service makes everything even easier. If you're looking for a reliable partner for your calibration needs, these are the people to call. Highly recommend!
