Terms and Conditions for Airbag Module Reset Services

IMPORTANT: Airbag Module Reset service involves vehicle safety systems, including the SRS/airbag system and related modules. By booking, paying for, or receiving Airbag Module Reset service from LockNCal, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms below.

This page works together with LockNCal’s Return & Refund Policy, Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Acknowledgments, Disclaimers & Legal Consents. If any conflict arises, these service-specific disclosure controls apply to Airbag Module Reset services.

1) Scope of Service – Dispatch, Diagnostic, and Reset Attempt

I understand the amount paid for this service covers LockNCal’s professional time, technician dispatch, access to the vehicle, scanning/diagnostic work related to the SRS system, and an attempted airbag module reset where applicable.

• I understand I am paying for time, travel, diagnostic work, and attempted service, not for a guaranteed reset, guaranteed repair, or guaranteed “no warning light” result.
• LockNCal does not guarantee that the module can be reset or that the reset will fully resolve all SRS/airbag-related issues on the vehicle.

2) OBD2 Reset vs. Module Removal vs. Replacement

I understand that in many vehicles, the airbag module can be reset via the OBD2 port, but in some, the module must be removed to complete the reset.

• Estimate only, not a promise: Approximately 80% of the time, the reset can be completed via OBD2; approximately 20% of the time, the module may need to be removed. I understand this is only an estimate and not a guarantee.
• Diagnosis controls: LockNCal cannot determine whether my vehicle requires module removal, replacement, or additional repairs until the vehicle is scanned and diagnosed in person.
• Not all modules are resettable: I understand some airbag modules cannot be reset and must be replaced.

3) If Module Removal Is Required

If the diagnosis confirms that the airbag module must be removed to complete the reset, I understand the original booking does not automatically include removal and reinstallation of the module unless expressly quoted and booked as part of the service.

• I may choose to remove/reinstall the module myself or through a third party, at my own risk and responsibility.
• I may request LockNCal to perform removal/reinstallation as an additional service for an additional charge, if available for my vehicle and situation.
• If the module is not removed at the appointment and LockNCal cannot proceed, the original booking remains final and non-refundable.

4) If Replacement Is Required

If the diagnosis indicates that the module is not resettable and must be replaced, LockNCal may provide a quote for replacement options if available.

• I understand replacement is a different service and may require additional parts, programming, labor, and charges.
• I understand the original reset booking payment remains final and non-refundable even if the module must be replaced.

5) Recommendation if I Am Not Sure This Is the Right Service

If I am not certain whether my vehicle needs an Airbag Module Reset, module replacement, additional SRS repairs, or a broader diagnosis, I understand LockNCal strongly recommends booking a Vehicle Diagnostic first.

I understand booking the wrong service does not create a right to a refund.

6) Scope Limits – No Safety Certification / No Guaranteed Roadworthiness

I understand that resetting an airbag module or clearing crash data does not certify that the vehicle is safe, roadworthy, or restored to OEM crash readiness.

• Additional repairs may still be required, including but not limited to airbags, seat belts/pretensioners, impact sensors, wiring repairs, modules, occupant system components, programming, and/or calibration.
• I am responsible for ensuring the vehicle is fully repaired in accordance with OEM procedures and is properly inspected before operation.

7) Customer Removal / Reinstallation Responsibility and Hold Harmless

If I choose to remove or reinstall the airbag module or any SRS component myself or through a third party, I accept full responsibility for any resulting injury, airbag deployment, electrical damage, vehicle damage, improper installation, or additional faults.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless LockNCal, its owners, technicians, partners, contractors, and affiliates from claims, damages, losses, or injuries arising from customer-performed or third-party-performed removal/reinstallation work.

8) Vehicle Access, No-Show, Site Conditions, and Second Trip

• Vehicle access required: I agree that the vehicle will be present at the scheduled location/time, accessible, and in a reasonably safe environment for the technician to work.
• No-show / inaccessible vehicle: If the vehicle is unavailable, inaccessible, blocked, moved, locked without access, or conditions are unsafe or unsuitable, LockNCal may stop or cancel the service, and all payments remain final and non-refundable.
• Second trip/return visit: If service cannot be completed during the original visit because module removal is required, replacement parts are needed, or additional issues are discovered, I understand any return visit requires a new appointment, a new service fee, and any additional applicable charges.

9) No Cancellations / No Refunds / Final Sale Policy

• All bookings are final: Once Airbag Module Reset service is booked and paid, all sales are final.
• No refunds due to outcome: No refund will be issued if service cannot be completed or does not produce the desired outcome due to non-resettable modules, required module removal, prior repairs/diagnosis by others, incorrect assumptions at booking, collision damage, missing components, aftermarket/non-OEM parts, low battery/voltage issues, additional SRS faults, or any other condition outside LockNCal’s control.
• No refunds due to service stoppage: If additional services are required and are declined, or if necessary prerequisites are not met, all prior payments remain final and non-refundable.
• Chargeback acknowledgement: I agree not to dispute or charge back the payment because LockNCal reserves capacity, performs professional labor, and attempts service in good faith.

10) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LockNCal is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to towing costs, rental vehicle costs, storage fees, missed work, lost wages, downtime, inconvenience, or related losses.

If LockNCal is found liable for any reason, LockNCal’s total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific Airbag Module Reset service at issue.

11) Customer Authorization

• I authorize LockNCal to access the vehicle’s OBD2 port, scan/diagnose the SRS system, and perform reset attempts and related diagnostic procedures as applicable.
• I confirm that I am the vehicle owner or an authorized agent for this vehicle and that the information I provide is accurate.
• I authorize LockNCal to communicate with me by text message and phone regarding service status, additional charges, approvals, and service updates.

By booking, paying for, or receiving Airbag Module Reset service from LockNCal, I electronically sign and agree to these Terms and Conditions for Airbag Module Reset Services.
